Around
the age of thirteen Ross was talking with a friend on the phone about
baptism. He was able to discover the truth from the Scriptures and
realize the importance of baptism for remission of his
sins. His study of the Word continued and he was drawn to this ministry
because of his love for serving God and helping other people spiritually.
Ross likes
to fix broken things. He collects old radios, which he refers to as
almost antiques. He also helps people in crisis "fix broken things"
through his work as a mediator with our local Juvenile and Magistrate
courts. The principles he uses to help those in need of mediation are
Biblical.
Ross sees Central church
of Christ as a place where we can enjoy personal salvation through an
eternal relationship with the Father, Son and Spirit. Our brotherhood, the
fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ, whether at Central or some
other church of Christ, reaches far beyond the walls of our building. This
fellowship allows people to worship God and be encouraged by the experience
of being together.
Internal
peace promised in the scriptures in Philippians 4:7 can be achieved even if
there is turmoil in our life. This scripture teaches us "And the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus." and in verse 9 "Those things, which ye have both
learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace
shall be with you." Ross wants everyone to know this peace. |
